To You, Who Read All the Way to the End

To everyone who read The Classmate I Had a Crush on Became My Stepsister all the way through — thank you so much.

It’s the same every time, but I wanted to put pen to paper once more to properly express my gratitude to everyone who stayed with this story to the end.

First of all, with so much entertainment out there, both on Kakuyomu and beyond, I’m genuinely grateful you chose to spend your valuable time on this particular work.

I wanted to share even a little of what makes the “yuri” genre so wonderful with as many readers as possible. I wanted to write something that could add even a small amount of colour to your everyday life — even just one percent would have been enough.

Working from those two convictions alone, amateur as I am, I did everything I could.

That said, there’s a lot even I, the author, wasn’t fully satisfied with in terms of quality, and I imagine plenty of readers didn’t find the result entirely satisfying either.

Honestly, there were several points where I considered stopping the updates partway through. But thanks to the warm comments, and the stars and hearts readers left along the way — the ways you all chose to show your support — I was able to keep updating all the way to the end.

What might have felt like small, unremarkable actions to readers felt like treasures to me, one by one, and became real encouragement for continuing to write.

My resolve nearly broke more than once, but I think it was the comments and the ratings that carried it through to the finish.

Even if the result wasn’t fully satisfying, I have no regrets — I managed to weave the story of Yuna, Ao, and Fuuka all the way to its end.

Thank you so much for sticking with an amateur’s clumsy work all the way here.
